This qualification reflects the role of educators in early childhood education and care who work in regulated children’s education and care services in Australia. Educators at this level are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum that meets the requirements of an approved learning framework and for maintaining compliance in other areas of service operations. They use specialised knowledge and analyse and apply theoretical concepts to diverse work situations. They may have responsibility for supervision of volunteers or other educators.

Entry Requirements

Working with Children Check
Due to the mandatory work placement requirement, students wish to study CHC50121 will be required to undergo and satisfy Working with Children Checks. This should be done during orientation so that approval is provided prior to the first industry placement
Delivery Modes
Learners are provided with learning resources, training manuals, assessment requirements and access to other research facilities. The program will include classroom training, online study and mandatory 280 hours of mandatory work placement.
Students are required to attend 14 hours/week of structured face-to-face formal training for 54 weeks to be held in a classroom at Times Academy premises.
